UNTITLED WORKS FROM 2019

Although these individual works are not part of a project, as such, these works are all inspired by Gretel's ongoing experiences with body dysmorphia. The work represents and highlights the skewed relationship Gretel has with her physical body, and she does this through experimenting with the 'typical' proportions of the human body. These figures are statuesque-like creatures that have lost touch with their human forms; often with long twisted necks, small heads, no hair, big legs and hands.
